I’m lowkey convinced that my dad has no personal experience with worry or anxiety. He’s a very empathetic and gentle person, always there when others are worried, but I’m pretty sure he has never worried a day in his life and I wish I could aspire to even a fraction of his calm. My dad is the best.

After work I stopped at the store and bought a 12-pack of Dr Pepper, a toilet auger, ant bait traps, a tv antenna, a pack of lindor truffles, a set of three wool dryer balls, a gallon of apple cider, and a card game which was marked down to $5.

Perks of marriage: any time I feel nervous about anything to do with schedules or adulting, I just have to say “let me talk with my husband and get back to you on that,” not because I need his permission for anything, it’s purely because I prefer talking to him over any other person

I love food. Love eating, love cooking. I never lose my appetite unless I’m physically sick. Up until now I thought I was an stress-eater, but this week I’ve learned that’s only true to a certain point. That’s how I know this has been the most stressful week of my life 🙃 yay for self-discovery?

The trouble with being a collage artist is you collect bits & odds & ends and sometimes you have to weed things out, but then later on you think of a bit you want to use but can’t find it, and begin to fear you may have thrown it out.

Restaurant chain sent me a “we miss you” freebie (it’s been 3 months). Not sure a free iced tea is enough to lure me. Wish I could negotiate for a better offer but it turns out the guy who wrote “The Art of the Deal” is a quack so I just don’t know where to turn for advice anymore 😢
