Congratulations to Stellar Quines for a fantastic opening night! Brilliant to get through to Lochgelly and catch this ambitious, funny, and original Scottish musical in the heart of Fife. An example of de-centralising theatre, bringing big shows to people at affordable prices, just brill to see!

Stellar Quines stands with trans women and with the trans community.

Stellar Quines stands with trans women and with the trans community.

For decades feminists have fought to liberate women from being defined by our bodies and reproductive function. The ruling by the UK Supreme Court on the Equality Act is a regressive step that should be of great concern to anyone who cares about justice.

As intersectional feminists we understand that the fight for trans rights is integral to and not in contradiction with the rights of cis women. We will continue to advocate for this in our own work and across our spheres of influence.

In the meantime, the court ruling cannot take away the joy we have working with our amazing Frankie cast which includes trans and non binary people who are absolutely smashing it. What’s happening in the courts doesn’t stop us finding community, loving each other and creating together. Trans women are women, trans men are men, non-binary people have always existed.

Update: the photo was AI! Not even a human. No amount of water would make me look like that.

I showed my partner a Pinterest image of the haircut I want.

Me: I wanna look like this.

JJ: I think you'll need to drink a lot of water.

Frankie Stein– Is she human? Is she AI? 🧟‍

Inspired by Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, Frankie Stein is a darkly comic, sci-fi play with songs exploring gender, power and technology💚

Stay tuned for ticket info, team announcements & more 👀

Text reads Frrankie Stein in a neon orange "tech" font. The background is multicoloured blue, green and magenta.

What appears to be a young woman is screaming in the centre. We see to either side two images of her, one sad, one smiling. It almost looks like she has three heads.

Was nice to talk to Brian and Fergus about where we are in Scottish Theatreland. Very happy that Exeunt is back and really appreciating the way Fergus Morgan is writing about Scottish theatre these days.
