One of the best actors of his generation, can’t quite believe he’s almost 70. The perfect incarnation of Aragorn. His performance in A History of Violence is sublime too.
He was 41 when they started shooting.
Verstappen admitting it makes it all the more possible he could do it. He knows he’s got a sniff of it and he won’t let go now.
The gap between Piastri and Verstappen is equivalent to a victory and a second place.

He’s 26 behind Norris. To turn it around since being 9th in Hungary over a minute behind the McLarens is truly astonishing. He remains the class of the field.
- Verstappen is absolutely a contender now, brilliant once again

- Ferrari need to give Leclerc a stronger car

- Hulkenberg back to his best

- Sainz was superb until his error in the race

- Tsunoda slowly improving

- Piastri sinking fast

- Mercedes very average

- The fight is on!!!!!!

DNF: Sainz
A quietly impressive race from Hulkenberg, on course for his first points finish since his podium at Silverstone. Makes up for being punted off yesterday.
Verstappen is so brilliant around that track but I can see a McLaren coming together…
Only one candidate for me for DOTD. Leclerc has been exceptional today. Verstappen overall standout of the weekend.
Difference is, Jenson wasn’t up against Max Verstappen, nor did he implode the way Piastri did in Baku.
If Leclerc isn’t going to be in Norris’s good books, he’ll certainly be in Verstappen’s.
Yeah I agree but it isn’t endemic to today’s race.
I feel like Crofty and Brundle are dismissing Verstappen by arguing McLaren’s pace has been hurt by not being in the sprint. It could just be that Max is a better driver…
Kimi Räikkönen did much the same to Lewis Hamilton as Leclerc is doing to Norris today. Kimi won that race. Seems Charles learned from the Iceman.
Somehow I doubt Norris will be sending Leclerc a Christmas card this year…
Sainz has been exceptional the last few races but that was a clumsy move on Antonelli.
That was a beautiful start from Max Verstappen, judged that perfectly.
This could well be the most important race of the season so far. Verstappen in the form of his life and chasing both McLaren drivers. Really looking forward to this one! #USGP
- Verstappen is currently schooling both McLaren drivers, a huge weekend for him

- Piastri’s been quite poor since Baku, 6th is nowhere near good enough

- Superb lap from Leclerc to line up third

- Sainz on a decent run of form at the moment

- Are we getting shades of 2007 again?

- COTA 👍
