A scam text message is circulating to Calderdale residents, claiming that they owe a parking fine and urging them to click a suspicious link to pay.

We never send text messages to alert drivers that they have received a Penalty Charge Notice. Please do not click on any links in these scam messages.
This morning, we came together for a special flag raising ceremony and two-minute silence to mark #VJDay.

The flag now flies proudly at Halifax Town Hall as a symbol of remembrance and respect, and Wainhouse Tower will light up red, white and blue this evening, shining in honour of VJ Day.
Last month, Holy Trinity and St. Mary's Primary School's in Halifax relaunched their School Street during Walk to School Week.

Children performed their version of 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin’, singing about why the initiative is so important.
