A cool little collaboration with @tasleaders.bsky.social. My limpet print on natural cotton fibre tea towels as giftware for their participants and stakeholders! I got mine in the mail tonight and looking forward to seeing others with theirs as they roll out!

That is so very real. In hindsight though, I can honestly say I’m not as time poor and my mental health has improved immeasurably! Lots of lifestyle changes for the better since breaking the Meta paralysis!

Finally free from Meta, after a month off the platform my data and accounts are officially deleted today, unable to be recovered. Despite their barrage of emails, I haven’t logged back in and I’m stoked I’ve broken the stronghold!

Reminded of how precious childhood friendships are today as the four of us reunited for Kascha’s baby shower in Lulworth. The bestest of friends for the longest of times. Super grateful for their friendship, love and care and super excited for our mum and dad to be! ✨

Incredible work Maynard! ✊🏽

I woke up on the front page of our local paper this morning! The imposter syndrome has me certain it was a slow news day but either way I’m grateful for the coverage and the sharing of the messages behind my work. Also, 44 years on and Midnight Oil continue to inspire! ✊🏽

Nichols-Mansell said adapting the Midnight Oil lyrics were a contemporary way to intertwine the cultural and industrial histories of the region. He said comparisons could be drawn between the polluted waterways the band sang about and the current environmental situation in the North-West.

The artwork serves as both a reminder and a call to action, urging the community, corporations, and policymakers to reflect on their connection to the land and sea, and to consider the legacy they wish to leave for future generations.

Celebrated the opening of my latest commission ‘this is my land, this is my sea’ as part of the Ten Days on the Island festival program last night. This work stands as a luminous testament to the enduring bond between the Palawa and our ancestral lands and waters.

Still dreaming about this collab with Lazy Girl Lingerie, a First Nations slow fashion label. This limited edition print was designed by me and the garment constructed by Cassandra, owner of LGL. This collab featured on the David Jones runaway at Aus Fashion Week 2023.

Looking forward to our second iteration of Kani Tunapri at Panama next month. Our inaugural offering was shared by Uncle Jim Everett. This year Auntie Theresa Sainty joins us. Kani Tunapri loosely translates to sharing knowledge and is an opportunity to connect and engage with mob.

What if Ten Days on the Island decided to do things differently? What if they invited people to join them at the edge of the world… and then asked them to leap? That was their ask of me and I’m excited to be presenting work this year! ✨

Adding rugby balls to the growing list of things I had never thought I’d create art for… This was a super cool project to collaborate on with W Rugby. Sales support the donation of sporting equipment to First Nation communities across the country.

The Devonport Sound and Light Show, From Sky to Sea launched late last year. I created the artwork that is laser etched into the pillars retelling our creation story through fine line work. The artwork is an initiative of Devonport City Council and their Living City upgrade.

In 2022 I was approached by Junction to #design #artwork that would become the #brand #identity for the #festival. The artwork I designed was representative of Princes Square as a hub for the festival but also a gathering place for my #mob who have gathered in that park for the longest time. #mobsky

Working with local community, Elders, staff and students at St Patrick’s College we created this Acknowledgement of Country plaque for their school entrance. The words and artwork were contributed by the students after working with our Elders. A special project.

In 2023 I was commissioned by YIRRAMBOI Festival in Naarm to create a large neon work as part of their Barring Yanabul program. The work I created is an excerpt from a larger text work and reads ‘My Body is Country, My Blood is Salt Water’.
