If everyone on earth used one plastic straw today that'd equate to over 7 million lbs of plastic. Corporations create most of the pollution. Corporations also pass the blame onto the consumer. That being said, every individual action makes up the whole. It adds up.

The horrors of ww2 are being forgotten by the newer generations. Do not let their lives and sacrifice be forgotten. Tell people about what you know. Don't take your knowledge for granted. This is going to be ever important as tech media falls into the hands of fewer and fewer people.
