Game idea: Backwards Balatro, you play with everything unlocked, but whenever you win you pick a card to destroy it forever, until you get rid of the whole game

"Windows 11 adds AI agent that runs in the background with access to personal folders - Microsoft quietly added a system-level AI agent with broad file access." Linux never sounded so good.

Ok I thing I got tired (and anxious) of using IG, but specially the stories, something pulls me a lot into that app and I don’t like it so I started unfollowing and muting stories so hopefully that helps?

I don't know how to make a joke about "making a scene" in unity

on my 46th game I've judged for IGF this year, I have only just come across the first reference to cannibalism, it used to take like five tops, the state of indie games is truly dire

Game idea: Being that person that reveal photos of everybody else (in the 80s?) and threading stories from pictures you get to see

Game idea: Friend slop but its about doing paperwork, moving piles of papers to sign or deliver, lots of office space and rotating chairs, no reason to be doing all that paperwork but YOU HAVE TO

They don't understand that people are looking for more than just that dopamine loop, they don't just want to pass the time. They're looking for significant experiences, things that are unique and memorable. Often defining those things is very difficult. There's an alchemy of sorts involved.

Game idea: Not really, but, Resident Evil like game, but has a Pochita character.

Pochita meaning a cute character that only works to introduce people into the IP, character that basically draws people in and then disappears from existence completely

Game idea: I mean, by now, after RV, there should be a Moving Out friend slop right?

Gamedev friends, this is more proof that we are not to blame for the current state of our industry.

These are the same executives that follow every trend blindly and ignorantly.

Aggressive MTX, everything is a live service, DRM that only punish paying players, NFTs, and now AI.

What a shitshow.
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

Game idea: A zachtronics game but its about modifying behaviors. Had a similar concept a while ago about balancing a game, but this one is more interesting:

You can do a bunch of moves at once, but will get sent _so long back_ into the queue. You'll benefit of executing a bunch of turns in a row with precision, speeding a sometimes slow genre of games, but still able to focus turn by turn when needed
