When younger, I was obsessed with destinations. Anything less than hitting goals was failure. Now I've learned the destination is often determined by luck and things beyond my control.

M&A dealmakers are buying business services stuck in the old way. Sell the office, convert staff to freelancers, train them on AI. Expenses drop, profits ramp, clients get better service.

The only metric in entrepreneurship: are you delivering enough value that someone will hand over funds? Before you start, get 3 people to put refundable deposits down. Everything else is noise.

Common advice: fix a problem you have. But 42% of businesses shut down because there's no market need. Just because you want something doesn't mean the market will pay for it.

Write to one person, not an audience. Write as a human, not corporate jargon. Use your voice, not AI. Celebrate failures as loud as successes. We've all got them.

In terms of access to resources, the average person is closer to the wealthiest than ever in history. Clean water, food abundance, powerful tech. Doesn't mean there isn't work to do.

You can upload your diary, posts, emails, videos, podcasts, documents and train an AI to become you. After death, AI could answer questions as 'you'. Could you still work in your company?

Board seats let you help entrepreneurs succeed by passing on wisdom and stopping them from making mistakes you made. The sooner you start, the more experience you gain, the more you earn.

Board seats are an opportunity to package your lifetime of experience. Entry level might pay tens of thousands for a few hours a month. As companies grow, board members earn hundreds of thousands.

Most content says create a side-business. But being entrepreneurial is hard, not everyone's cut out for it, and 99% of entrepreneurs lose more than they make. Hardly a happy retirement plan.

In most countries populations are ageing rapidly. The pension you hoped would support you is unlikely to be fit for purpose. With rising costs, you need a secondary income stream.

This will devastate Google search advertising and millions of companies relying on it. Adoption is still negligible, but it's only going one direction. If your plan involves Google Ads, look around.

Search is evolving faster than you imagine. Previously we'd google, wade through ads, piece together solutions. Now AI just delivers the completed solution. Once you start, you can't go back.
