The CALM Chronicle: 2024 CALM Conference Key Takeaways: 1. All work has dignity, all work has value. 2. Relationship building is important and takes time. 3. Clear, compassionate communication is key. 4. Challenges to be good managers are tied to societal and institutional systems and structures that are problematic. 5. Implementing person-centered practices can be small scale changes that stack up over time. 6. As much as we care for others, we also need to care for ourselves Forum Participants Confirmed: We are thrilled to announce that the participants for our upcoming forum have been confirmed! 43 library workers with a broad variety of backgrounds and experiences from the United States and Canada will be joining the Forum from July 31 to August 2, 2024, on the UC San Diego campus.
