I have a cane and no physical disabilities (it was mostly a physical manifestation of stress making it difficult to walk) and it helped me a lot. You don't need to meet a threshold of disability to be 'valid' enough for help.
Like, in what world would buying a cane make them make less canes?

Brought to u by: I saw one comment and then thought too much about how them having kids would look like and came to the conclusion that nope. Having Crashstop is an act of profound yearning for what they cannot have and such wouldn't happen willy nilly now that initial longing is fulfilled.
