Sell it to me, Patrick. 😄
Oh no, "luxury" not luxury. Is it a bit humble?
We're just bumbling around before the train leaves. Have fun, see you there!
Ok, so he can't use the title "Prince", but at least he gets to keep the prefix "Randy". No one can take that away from him...
Fingers crossed for you! 🍀

See you in Brighton 🪩🐉🐿️

I was on a panel with Steven Erickson once and he used the metaphor that reality is the nebulous thing sitting at the center of a circle of humans, and we are all constantly staring and pointing at the thing and describing what we see. It's reality by consensus. The brain's job is hallucinating
"Ich werde am du." As Karl Jaspars said, meaning, "I become with you". The more we interact with each other, the more real we become.

In a discovered-today-exchange, I can offer you: vatic, resembling or characteristic of a prophet or prophecy.
Stumbled across an interesting new word today while working on my PhD novel: acicular (adj) meaning "(chiefly of crystals) needle-shaped."

Neat!

Heading there early on the Friday train 🚃🚆🚂
I did work out that if I got a tattoo, it would immediately render it much less cool and attractive 😆
I sympathise. No. 1 son is prone to rash decisions, and now he's too old to caution. Ho hum, let them be free!
One's cathartic, and the type of word record breakers love. It's difficult to see the positive side of a bomb, I guess.
Make the most of that blue daylight time, that's key. It hits me pretty badly too... and I'm nowhere near that latitude.
Yeah, I was pretty sure you'd be in a far-flung edge of the galaxy where child laws don't apply.
I've never thought about this before, but is there a minimum age to get a tattoo? I deliberately haven't looked it up so I can have a guess. 16?
Come on... Let it be the cute little Brit! It's not, though, is it?

Barker called me up one night and without preamble said "It's opinions, not onions. Not onions. This is Clive Barker. I've been trying to track down and stop this error in editions for decades. OPINIONS."
(It wasn't until Jeff and Ann VanderMeer were working on their anthology The Weird that I learned that "onions" is a typo. Either Jeff or Ann mentioned to me that Barker asked them to fix the typo that had haunted the story in countless reprintings, incl in their own earlier antho The New Weird.)
Just watched The Instigators, great film 8/10. Damon and Casey Affleck are pitch-perfect.
Sometimes I've heard they kill just for "experience" 🥺
