Piper James Richardson,16th Bn CEF(The Somme)inspired comrades to take Regina Trench by playing his bagpipes
His exemplary courage under fire earned Piper Richardson the Victoria Cross posthumously
He was then listed MIA

In 2006 his bagpipes were repatriated to B.C.
