Good morning, Blueskyers! Here's the waning gibbous moon setting over the Vermilion Cliffs, taken yesterday. I had a long day yesterday - believe me, 16 miles cross-country is way different than 16 trail miles. So now I'm sitting around drinking coffee. I hope you have a regenerative day!

The Chinle Formation is unmistakable. In other areas - near Capitol Reef, for example - it contains quantities of petrified wood. I've seen entire petrified logs in that region. I hope you have a peaceful Sunday!

For #BWFri ...this is actually a fairly small sandstone spire, but with a little cropping it looks like it belongs somewhere in Patagonia. I hope you all survived the week in good spirits!
