A new player for the collection plus 19 MiniDiscs. Great Facebook find for £50.

Powers on and works perfectly with mains adapter but unfortunately the lip-8 battery is long dead and won’t take charge

Absolutely! I was quite set on getting a rectangle shaped player for some reason. Few good contenders out there but the button and lcd aesthetic on this one really spoke to me

I’ll reserve the square shape for if/when I start looking into NetMD 😬

My MiniDisc journey continues!

This Sony MZ-R37 arrived today. Again sold as untested so I got a decent price, and yet it works! It's so immaculate, incredibly lucky 👏🏻

Happy to report that 10 MiniDiscs arrived today so I could finally test my player.

The deck works!

As a bonus half the discs had some really great Japanese artists on them too, other half were blank. Cool way to find new music 🎵

Just picked up a Sony MZ-R37 player/recorder and some minidiscs

I'm 36 and somehow never ended up using minidisc in any capacity. Only tape, CD, then into mp3 and iPods.

Very excited for this journey 🥰

The last couple days I've been looking at getting a portable Minidisk player/recorder. Things have escalated.

I only want the minidisc deck for recording but the other decks are a great bonus, and only for £50!

The search for good portable continues though.
