Current member and candidate for Beavercreek City Schools Board of Education.
Since Beavercreek has one of the lowest levels of state support for public education in our region, a policy like this might actually reduce local property taxes by combining Beavercreek with districts that receive higher levels of state support.

Today, I am proud to serve as Beavercreek’s Legislative Liaison to the OSBA business meeting. We will be voting on several updates to our legislative platform. This platform defines the political lobbying that Kids PAC will do on behalf of educators across the state.

Concerned about the future of special ed with the dismantling of the federal Dept of Education and continuing cuts to state support for public education? There’s a virtual town hall hosted by Parents United for Public Schools tomorrow evening to discuss parental concerns.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. Levies are a major target right now but lack of state funding means our schools absolutely depend on this revenue. #GoCreek

Can we deliver a competitive, quality education with $3,900 less per student than the state average? I believe the answer is a resounding no.

Our students and our community deserve better than just "scraping by." They deserve investment. They deserve excellence.

We are already doing more with less. Beavercreek spends $1,700 less per student than the Ohio average. Losing this levy would drop our spending to $12,400 per student—a staggering $3,900 below the state average.
November 2, 2025 at 8:23 PM
If this levy fails, we will be forced to cut $18 million. That translates to a loss of $2,200 per student.

This isn't funding for extras. It's for the essentials: our teachers' salaries, classroom materials, school buses, and the heat and lights in our buildings.

On November 4th, our community decides whether to renew the levy that provides $18 million for our schools—funding that makes up 1 out of every 6 dollars in Beavercreek's operating budget.

We just updated our billboard to emphasize the levy. Funding our schools is paramount.

Get out and vote Nov 4 to renew our fixed sum levy. This levy funds 16% of our teachers and administrators. If it fails, we must make cuts. It’s also our last opportunity to maintain the 12.5% state matching funds. Future levy funding is entirely local.

I'm on a panel to discuss vouchers and Ohio's school funding policies this evening. The numbers for Beavercreek are pretty rough. Communities like Beavercreek are stuck funding roughly 80% of our education costs locally.

Adjusted for inflation, the state of Ohio has cut $140 million from the #publicEducation budget over the last two decades. At the same time, they’ve required our schools to do more. The result is a $703 million increase in local #taxes to cover the state shortfall and increased costs.
