There is debate whether Mari Lwyd should be part of a closed practice as it has gained momentum in global pagan circles. My family has roots in Wales. Instead of copying Mari Lwyd from Welsh tradition, I developed a Mari Lwyd that would have changed over the centuries along with my Welsh ancestors.
