Later high resolution HARMONIE charts show some stronger gusts Tuesday with strongest along West coast over 130kmh possible but these will chop and change over next 48 hours. Hopefully the worst will stay out to sea. Stay up to date with forecasts. Met Éireann have issued yellow warnings for now.

The weather models latest update for storm on Tuesday show some windy weather but nothing too severe thankfully. The track still little uncertain but at least for now it doesn’t look too bad in terms of wind but still plenty more rain to come!

A mild Sunday morning with rain already in the West and it will move across the country through this morning.

Wet fields are wet as land is saturated and more rain to come over the next week. Amounts vary a lot on models depending on track of lows but all have more rain. Risk of local flooding over the coming week.
December 6, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Latest weather model updates for Tuesday continue to show uncertainty on the track of potential storm. The UKMO model has the worst outcome this morning. The conveyor belt of low systems will continue coming across the Atlantic with risk of more storms this coming week.
December 6, 2025 at 7:22 AM
A mild morning for most with strong winds on the South coast with scattered showers. Heaviest rainfall overnight was in Southwest with over 10mm bringing some stations close to 50mm in 36 hours.
December 6, 2025 at 7:17 AM
The UK Met Office have a chart out for the possible tracks of storm Tuesday and they put track West of Ireland at 60% which could bring strongest winds into West of Ireland but their update shows how uncertain the track is.
December 5, 2025 at 11:09 PM
Still gusting to 84kmh on Southwest coast but winds have eased in most areas. Heavy showers continuing to feed in with some nasty downpours in Southwest.
December 5, 2025 at 10:29 PM
A French vessel recorded a gust of 130kmh just off the Southeast coast in last few hours. Johnstown Castle had a gust of 94kmh but back down to 85kmh in last hour.
December 5, 2025 at 2:18 PM
Sunny spells pushing up from the Southwest following behind the main band of rain but also heavy showers.

A very late weather warning for rainfall added now for Cork and Kerry
December 5, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Still huge uncertainty on the weather models for potential storm Monday night into Tuesday but good news today is only one model really develops it and brings it over Ireland. Rest keep it weaker and further Southwest.
December 5, 2025 at 7:00 AM
The rain has arrived and over 30mm will fall in parts of Southwest over next 24 hours. Wind warning updated to include Dublin today with strongest gusts this afternoon.
December 5, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Reminder tomorrow Friday will turn very wet and windy, strongest gusts in Southeast coastal areas. Big concern over coastal flooding early Saturday morning in Southwest with high spring tides and onshore winds after heavy rain.
December 4, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Risk of storm developing Monday night into Tuesday but huge uncertainty on the weather models and the latest ECMWF model update that Met Éireann use for their website and app at that range is one of the worst potential outcomes so hopefully won’t be that but one to keep an eye on
December 4, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Over 70mm of rain on high ground on Cork/Kerry border between today and Friday evening. Followed by high seas and high spring tides could cause issues for areas like Bantry with coastal flooding risk.
December 3, 2025 at 12:14 PM
Couple of reports of unusual light pillar in the sky over Wexford this morning.
December 3, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Temperatures ranging from 0c to 9c with some showers in the West. Best of the sunny spells will be in the East this morning.
December 3, 2025 at 6:53 AM
Good sunny spells early Wednesday before cloud increases and also rain pushing in later in the evening. Thursday sunny spells and showers. More heavy rain likely to move in Friday though.
December 2, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Some big seas expected over next few days, first into the West on Thursday and then Southwest on Friday night into Saturday. Bad timing too as we have high tides this week so risk of coastal flooding. Don’t park in car parks that are known to flood on the coast, like Salthill!
