This Saturday is the No Kings Marches across Charlotte, North Carolina, and the United States.
I am in full support of peaceful protest and I will always be against authoritarians, dictatorships, and those that would strip the inalienable rights of all people away from them.

On World Students Day, we at the General Assembly must vow to help every student be able to learn in a safe and healthy environment. That is why we need to fully fund our public schools including ensuring free school lunch for all public school students. #WorldStudentsDay

It makes sense that the Leader of the Republican party, who had over half a dozen bankruptcies including with a casino, doesn't know how to run a business or run a government without plunging it into chaos.

Republicans gave a massive tax giveaway to the rich and are now looking to cut away anything to help you or allow you a chance of a better life.

This is on top of Trump and Republicans giving Argentina a $20 Billion giveaway to help their failing economy (which follows the exact same principles as the Republican economic policies).

All while our troops, air traffic controllers, FBI agents, and more are not receiving a paycheck Trump has decided to put a 100% tariff on all good from China, doubling the cost of various products right before the start of Christmas.

Speaker Mike Johnson has even refused to hold a regular session of the House for weeks so that Republicans can have an extended vacation while Democrats are in DC ready to work for the people.

The Federal Government Shutdown has continued because Republicans refuse to even consider negotiating with Democrats to make sure the ACA premiums don't spike up.

They refuse not only to hear my bills, or very good public safety bills from my fellow democrats, they refuse to properly fund the courts, district attorney's, public defenders, state law enforcement officers, prisons, social services, and local law enforcement.

This includes bills on increasing state troopers’ pay, higher pay for juvenile justice employees, bulletproof glass for law enforcement, increase the penalty for passing a stopped school bus, and much more.
Republicans say they are tough on crime, that is all talk.

I have worked in public safety for over 30 years; I take it very seriously. It is why I have introduced many bills over my tenure as a State Representative; none of have been heard by Republicans.

Everyone should be shown respect and dignity regardless of their culture or cultural background. We must not only show them respect but consider their viewpoint and even deep knowledge that should be eroded away. #DayOfRespectForCulturalDiversity

There are many people that deal with mental illness, they do not deserve our scorn but assistance. It is why I, and the rest of the NCGA, should commit to help fund mental health services and provide strong legislation to support mental health needs. #mentalillnessawarenessweek

Ensuring we make sure Medicaid Expansion is funded, combating poverty, providing mental health support, providing free school lunch in public schools, and more are needed to be done to ensure every child's health. #NationalChildHealthDay
