Working with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria I saw the tremendous value in the work being carried out and funded by its Violence Reduction Unit. If PCCs are to go, what happens to these vital interventions? 1/2

It was just like when Panorama put together a clip from two different parts of a speech by Alan Carr. In the first one he said "I am" and in the second one "a gay man", thereby totally misrepresenting him.

I'd have been more shocked to see Panorama edit a clip in which Trump appeared to speak coherently.

I just read that Trump is developing the White House in his own image. I assume the new ballroom is in the shape of a massive gut and that he'll be painting it orange.

If I were the local MP, addressing the issues that make Jaywick the most deprived locality in the country would be my number one mission. But then we don't all have the same priorities, do we?

All of this media attention on a tiny, technical, inadvertent and inconsequential oversight, and none at all on the circumstances of the purchase of Farage’s constituency house. It’s almost as if there’s some sort of agenda.

A survey now suggests that Nigel Farage is the country's preferred candidate to be PM. We might just as well have had research indicate that the people's loo roll of choice is made of sandpaper. Coated in Deep Heat.

Whichever party they're working for, these highfalutin political strategists appear to be so far up their own fundament that they can't see what's going on in the world outside. And appear to care even less.
