It’s back to school week on Bake Off! Here is my signature, a chocolate and speculoos flapjack that is crispy with a little give cut in bars. Super yummy and appropriate for after school. I blended corn syrup and honey to substitute for golden syrup. Quick and easy!

I had off yesterday and today so I tried macarons for the first time! I have tons of lemons and yuzu juice left so here’s 3 macarons with a lemon shell with a yuzu French buttercream. 3 pictured because that’s what I was able to get from the batch 😂 the other 16 were cracked to heaven

It’s bread week on Bake Off! My signature: a Spicy Korean BBQ milk monkeybread. It’s got two flavors of Korean milk bread, one is covered in toasted sesame seeds and the other I put gochujang. Inside the sesame is spicy bbq chicken and roasted garlic and Kimchi in the gochujang.

The best grab and go breakfast and mid morning snack is a blueberry muffin, change my mind. As long as the little box at the grocery store is $3 and until the bitter end of blueberry season is over, I will continue to march on toward blueberry muffin nirvana. 🫡 👼 🫐

It’s biscuit week on Bake Off! I had a free weekend so I also did the technical: hobnobs!

I followed Prues recipe from the #gbbo website and it was straightforward. I had to retry the caramel but I was able to finish these and have them set on a plate in time! Also they’re delicious! 🍽️🥖🍞🍫 #baking

It’s biscuit week on Bake Off! I loved this ep and after I tried the sig myself I am blown away by what they made this week.

Oh I attempted the inlay again since I had enough left overs enough for another cake. I went ham with the lavender and steeped the flower in scalded 1/2 milk and 1/2 cream for the whole time I piped the inlay, and added a full tsp of extract. It made a delicious difference! 🍋🫐 🍽️ 🥖 #baking #gbbo

Behind the scenes: this was a tricky but fun bake that is really tough to nail in a vacuum but after a whole season of baking is a really cute challenge. I am giving my oven a rest so she can travel and see the world over the next few weeks. ITT: a pound of cubed butter, mixing, shaping, and pre cut
