$2,000 tariff-dividend checks do not add up.
Tariff collections were about $195 billion in 2025, but dividend checks would cost $280–$450 billion.

That’s not affordability, but a deficit-financed giveaway.

The simplest way to lower prices for Americans is to END THE TARIFFS.

It’s time to sunset FEMA aid and return disaster responsibility to the states.

Federal disaster spending jumped from $19B in 2016 to $32B in 2025, and the states lost much control; local expertise was crowded out.

Dominik Lett explains why shifting responsibility back to states matters👇

Federal policy has promoted homeownership for nearly a century.
But data show renting and investing often yield higher long-term returns—and far less risk.

It’s time to let individuals decide, not Washington.
Homeownership and Wealth: Why Policymakers Should Stop Subsidizing Risk
Policymakers do not have objective reasons for tilting the market in favor of buying versus renting. They should allow people to decide for themselves whether and when they wish to buy or rent.

Nearly a decade after Ashtian Barnes was killed by a Texas deputy, his family is still fighting for justice.

Cato’s new brief urges the Fifth Circuit to let a jury—not judges—decide whether the officer’s use of force was reasonable. Read here👇
Barnes v. Felix Brief: Juries, Not Judges, Need to Decide the Reasonableness of Force
Our brief argues that the Framers intended for juries—comprised of ordinary Americans—to adjudicate disputes between citizens and their government. Assessing whether a police officer’s use of force was reasonable under the circumstances is precisely the type of judgment call the Framers tasked jurors to make.
