Action is always so easy to write but..... when you can pull it off it's so much mooore satisfying to draw.
I sit back and stare at action pages like a super villain and say 'yess yess that's the good stuff' 😸

Art burnout is rough and yah it's slugging through it but being kind enough to yourself to say it's okay I'm not 110% productive.

Also your cat looks like they are casting lighting and I love it. 😺

Depending on the look that's the great thing about comics is that backgrounds matter when the panel/story needs to show it. I don't have problems with backgrounds as I treat them as storytelling.
THAT being said every project is different, so if yours needs these lush bg's yah that is a time eater.

I cannot stress enough how much I hate colouring comics and how much I admire colourists.
A single Illustration is one thing, Sequential art looking good coloured is a WHOLE OTHER BEAST!
.
Anyone that calls panels bunch of single illustrations on a page needs to sit down and understand comics. 😿
