On the dog walk in the neighbourhood Friday night, ran into a couple & their dog. After the usual pet patter, found out they’d just moved into their new Toronto home that day after driving from San Francisco. The husband who’s in the green energy industry, joked “we’re defecting.” 🇨🇦

I’ve been proudly part of a Jewish family for more than 40 years. My late mother in law called me her adopted Jewish son. Wishing my wife & her extended family (mine too) a good fast on Yom Kippur, this most solemn day in the Jewish calendar. A day of reflection, renewal & hope.

The reports of the Chiefs death have been greatly exaggerated. Mahomes with 4 TD passes.Spags D suffocated Lamar & King Henry. A huge statement victory made bigger by the Chargers loss. There will be a race in the AFC West.

Palace may now have a problem in the locker room. An unhappy player, probably some teammates who won’t like how this went down and a coach who may have alienated himself and undermined his own leadership. Not to mention, Guehi can leave for free at the end of the season. 🤔 #YNWA

Here’s my view on the FSG & Edwards’s long term strategic plan. Isak replaces Mo. Leoni/Guehi replaces VVD/Konate. Ekitike replaces Diaz, Kerkez for Robbo, Frimpong for Trent. Wirtz is the centrepiece. I know obvious but it’s clear that FSG want a club that will be competitive for a decade.

My biggest takeaway from the Liverpool victory? That the right back provided exquisite passes, tough but smart defense and an “out of this world” goal from a free kick.

And it wasn’t Trent.
