1. Acquire foundational knowledge in Linux and familiarize yourself with navigating High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
2. Explore the principles of Genome Assemblies with illumina, PacBio, and ONT data.
3. Walk through download and quality control of sequence data, genome size estimation, assembly, polishing, scaffolding, and QC.
4. Learn how to use popular software in the genome assembly space, such as jellyfish, MaSuRCA, Hifiasm, Flye, Merqury, gce, and more.
