Don't think yesterday could realistically have gone any worse for Frank (other than things really unravelling at 3-0). To go in with that approach in that fixture and for it fail so badly is an instant deal-breaker for a lot of fans. Esp as the players looked so uncommitted.

It feels fitting that in a year that has been about two players not one, it's Sinner who gets the victory to leave things as close to all square as possible between him and Alcaraz. As ever when they play, the loser is the increasingly forlorn chasing pack

The ATP Finals used to be a sanctuary for the sandwich generation, with Zverev (twice), Medvedev and Tsitsipas all former winners.

Now, apart from Zverev, they can't even qualify. And Zverev has it all to do to make an impact in Turin

Saudi Tennis Federation had three-year opt-out clause with Next Gen Finals and have decided to exercise it, thus ending agreement to host through 2027 (as @reemabulleil.bsky.social reported earlier).

ATP now starts bidding process to host the event from 2026 ⬇️
