Don't think yesterday could realistically have gone any worse for Frank (other than things really unravelling at 3-0). To go in with that approach in that fixture and for it fail so badly is an instant deal-breaker for a lot of fans. Esp as the players looked so uncommitted.

The men's tennis season has been so dominated by Sinner and Alcaraz that feel-good stories have been hard to find. Even/especially in Turin where pretty much everyone else has looked mentally and/or physically fried.

The ATP Finals used to be a sanctuary for the sandwich generation, with Zverev (twice), Medvedev and Tsitsipas all former winners.

Now, apart from Zverev, they can't even qualify. And Zverev has it all to do to make an impact in Turin

Saudi Tennis Federation had three-year opt-out clause with Next Gen Finals and have decided to exercise it, thus ending agreement to host through 2027 (as @reemabulleil.bsky.social reported earlier).

ATP now starts bidding process to host the event from 2026 ⬇️
