In my opinion, all Christians should naturally be left leaning. Wild that the alt right has dominated Christianity

Let's say it was an oopsie. Let's allow for the possiblity that he was just doing a "Roman salute". That doesn't change the way the Nazis in his audience interpreted it. The Nazis think he was doing it on purpose. The Nazis think this makes them more powerful.

The mainstream media is already normalizing Donald Trump.

I won't, and neither should you.

This is why legacy media is dying.

But the truth is simple: what they did was fucked up. Whether or not TikTok sold to Meta, whether or not Trump “saved the day”—our trust was broken, and we’re left picking up the pieces.

They’re acting like nothing happened, but we all know it could have happen… and could again—tomorrow, next week, or in 90 days.

Now, we’re left trying to process what happened. We justify our unease with conspiracy theories and speculation.

Despite our protests, it disappeared into the void, leaving us in a spiral of confusion and grief.

And then, just as suddenly, it came back. Like an ex showing up at our door with empty apologies and promises that “nothing happened!” Uneasy, we let it back in, but the trust was shattered.

Then, overnight, it was taken away. No clear communication—just gone. It felt like a breakup with a toxic partner: one who made us feel safe, only to abruptly abandon us with a weird message that they are hanging out with the person they told you not to worry about.

It connected us with like-minded people across the world, forming friendships and even a sense of belonging.

Because of TikTok’s dominance in our lives, we unconsciously isolated ourselves from other social media and even real-life interactions.

Many of us don’t like to admit it, but we have an emotional connection to TikTok. Whether it’s the addictive short-form content or the real sense of community it fosters, this app became a major part of our daily lives. Unlike other platforms, TikTok’s algorithm didn’t just entertain.

But at its core, what happened felt like emotional manipulation.

Let me explain—this might sound dramatic, but those who’ve experienced emotional abuse will recognize the pattern.

Why TikTok’s Weekend Stunt Felt Like Emotional Abuse

The uncertainty many of us feel with TikTok/Trump’s stunt this weekend is completely valid. We’re all searching for explanations, whether it’s rumors that Meta bought TikTok or speculation about political influence.

It’s sooo weird, trying to finalize some connections there

OK, I have officially logged out of TikTok. I hate all of this, but I’m glad I have you all here to go through this with. We gotta stay united because they want us divided. #tiktokrefugee

The next four years are going to be difficult, but we are the resistance.

I am not just going to give you news, I am going to share with you how we are going to hold MAGA accountable.

Stay strong. We got this.

I agree. I think they could reform it with the right software people on board and could crowd fund it. It would be a hilarious slap in the face to Meta

I wonder if Snapchat would be willing to stand up and change their discover page to be similar to tiktok. One of the non meta owned companies, the CEO is young, and has large user base. Already based on short form video content, they have the money, and could reignite the use of the app.
