Agreed…idk what they were thinking…for the record I don’t think the “bloodstained” protests do anything but harm as well.
I think most productive thing is to reach out to expecting moms…so many women have an instinct that something is wrong…they just need some information.

Yes. There are common forms that don’t even involve cutting at all or involve removing far less tissue, or in some cases no tissue (ritual “nicking”). And the forms that only remove the female prepuce I would argue are analogous to removing the male foreskin.

I don’t think we could the do the debate justice on here but I want to just clarify that I do not believe ALL forms of Female Circ are equivalent to Male Circ in severity and complications. I am arguing that many of the common forms ARE or are even less so.
