undiagnosed but i'm pretty sure
TIL that you can prevent a process from being killed by calling NtUserSendInput at just the right time. At this point I've got to ask if we're comfortable admitting that this whole protection mode business may have been a mistake (especially considering that Ring 1 and 2 are unused these days).

You know shit got real when the LLM uses the term "BS" without being prompted to.

Still thinking about that discussion that terminated with them talking about "clean code". The more I think about it the more I'm convinced they had no idea what they were talking about themselves. I mean, what is "clean code" in the first place? Is "clean code" using fopen instead of NtCreateFile?

Does anyone else get filtered by phone verifications? Like, I don't *have* a mobile number, and even *if* I had I wouldn't share it with you. Like, go fuck yourself with a cactus, and stay fucked forever and ever.

Literally every single time I want to trust the compiler I'm getting betrayed by it.

Every.
Single.
Time.

(rbx.u8 should refer directly to %bl, but GCC is too stupid to use that register without using %al as intermediate.).

-Firefox just disabled all my plugins because they were "too old"
-can't update them because they rely on new Firefox versions
-might as well update Firefox while I'm at it
-click button, nothing happens
-click button again, nothing happens again

"Schumer, Facing Backlash for Not Forcing a Shutdown, Says He’ll Take 'the Bullets'"

I don't think he's quite aware what kind of bullets are going to be after him.

Schumer Under Fire as Pelosi and Other Democrats Criticize Shutdown Retreat
Privately, many Senate Democrats conceded that their leader was doing his job by protecting his members from a tough vote and making a politically painful decision. But the backlash from his party was...

If you're feeling down about the recent stock market crash, just think about what Chinese billionaires who hid their money in the US economy are going through. The idea of rule of law was exactly why those billionaires came in the first place.

Here's the bush everyone keeps beating around:
Only the House or a bullet can remove the asset from office, and the House won't do it for another two years. That's plenty of time for the asset to do whatever the hell it wants to do, like, say, amend the constitution to get rid of impeachment.
March 10, 2025 at 4:36 AM
The current US constitution is like an old 8086 processor: no protection against rogue or faulty programs/administration. Without upgrade (like the 80286, which had four protection rings) you will always rely on the goodwill of your programs/presidents.

I for one am hopeful that the asset defies more court orders, because then we can actually call it a tyrant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrant
"A tyrant [...] in the modern English usage of the word is an absolute ruler who is unrestrained by law"

And we all know what Jefferson had to saw about tyrants.

So the asset wants to end the legal status for 240,000 Ukrainian refugees. Just end whatever lives they've built up there.

Is that a good time to do a "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" LARP?
March 8, 2025 at 1:20 AM
I can't wait for the asset to attempt to tell the Europeans not to build up their nuclear arsenal, on behest of the Russians. Then again the Europeans are so dumb and easily intimidated that the asset might actually be successful at it.
March 7, 2025 at 1:39 PM
I already see Europe and Canada eyeing each other for trade relations, but why forget about Mexico? They have developed a lot in the last thirty years and would certainly be worth the effort.
March 7, 2025 at 9:24 AM
Just once I'd like to see nations not falling over themselves to appease whatever brainworm the US government is being affected by. It'd be really interesting to see how much GDP is actually adding value, and how much is just money laundering.

What was the old adage again? "Accusations by a narcissist are actually confessions" or something like that?
March 6, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Trump: Ukraine has to work towards peace.
Ukraine: we could do a ceasefire for starters.
Russia: we don't want a ceasefire.

$50 Trump's gonna blame Zelenskyy's. Mainstream media should just start calling Trump "the Russian asset" at this point.
March 6, 2025 at 3:22 PM
So you take away all vector registers because the compiler can't produce proper code for beans, and as a result GCC croaks when encoding a VMOVD: godbolt.org/z/PT3n9Gc6E
Yeah, sorry, but I don't have the years necessary to wait for any of your fixes.
March 6, 2025 at 5:34 AM
Someone please make Zelenskyy stop crawling into Trump's rectum. He is on Russia's side. Get it through your effing skull.
March 6, 2025 at 2:36 AM
I cannot help but admire Trump's ... guts, or dementia, or narcissism, or whatever it is that makes him go out and paint a bright red target on his face. The man already almost got Kennedy'd in front of a live audience, yet he acts as if his nemeses won't be fully pardoned.

Since the tariffs are now in effect I wonder why Canada doesn't just purchase all the fentanyl they can get their hands on and ship it off to the US. Gotta make up for the deficit somehow.

Next up: Trump proposes wall to Canada.

[MAGA|MEGA]: What has [Russia|China] ever done to the [US|EU]? If they want [Ukraine|Taiwan], then just let them have it. Not our problem. They should just surrender so that we can make lots of deals with [Russia|China].
MAGA:
March 5, 2025 at 7:59 AM
"What's that? You just lost another 0.001% of your population in some wacko terrorist attack and now want support from the outside world? Well, we can't afford that, Europe just had to build up its own military. Can't you ask the Russians?"

I would pay real money to see the look on their faces.
March 5, 2025 at 6:02 AM
It honors Zelensky that he's willing to swallow his pride and placate Trump, but his efforts are wasted. The president is ideologically aligned not only with Putin, but with dictatorships in general. His only interest in Ukraine are its natural resources and how to get them for himself.
March 4, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Can someone explain to me how anyone expects Ukraine to not start working on nuclear devices now? If your conventional capabilities will last you six months, and Europe won't get its arse in gear, what do they have to lose? In fact I would've already done so ever since Trump's election.
