Warning, Sunday's are the day when I lift all restrictions on restraint in my posts!
Of course it didn't it was never about that. Tax-dodgers who happily helped to destroy our economy aren't going to become Labour fans no matter how much they are pandered to.

Release the Epstein files?

The US seems to have gone from a ship with a loose cannon on deck to a full-blown pirate vessel.

Thank you. She's wasn't unhappy, as my brother had to come and pick us up, and she got to see both of us :)
January 6, 2026 at 8:34 PM
Just the fact that it even needs saying. What an indictment. Is the US hoping that the rest of the world is going to have to keep begging them not to bully and simply steal what it wants?

Then make them change what they say.
Being happy for all media to be fully owned by a few billionaires so they can keep charging you to watch what they want you to watch, rather than fix what you already own, is way too much more Thatcher than I ever want to see again.

However, there are no non-NHS specialists. All UK doctors are trained & retained by the NHS. Private clinics contract them to do work there by offering large consultancy fees. Together with GPs staying private, It was the only loophole big money had in the NHS. Don’t preach privatisation to us

Sounds like the same sort of reasoning used to oppose the end of slavery
December 25, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Two, I’d say. The other is to make sure the rest of the world will never trust an American president again.

They were hard line sectarians who opposed Catholics, artists, playwrights or any colour other than grey having a role in society. Always did pick on somebody to justify their punitive holier-than-thou approach. Britain was as well shot of them as America was of George III.

For definite here. We have a very divided population, half of whom voted to sabotage our greatest political & economic relationship 9 yrs ago. That division is still raging, but the ‘winners’ have now moved on to immigration & the court of human rights, because no part of their win worked out
December 23, 2025 at 1:40 AM
It doesn’t really look like that from over here. When trump said he could gun down someone in the street in New York & still get elected, he was right. When he said you’d never need to vote again, or promised everything he’s done, you elected him & are still letting him get away with it. Own it.

Better if property prices were reflected in council tax. As one of the many social housing tenants in the borough of Wandsworth, I resent funding being taken from a well-run borough to support Kent's Reform failure just to appease the racists that elected a non-functioning bunch of Children.

Tar, feathers, and a rowing boat back home would be the best diplomatic message to send to Washington

Threat to national security, election interfering to destabilise sovereign countries, personal attacks on elected politicians, financing extremists, threatening invasion or annexation, corrupt business practices. Call it whatever makes you feel better, the world sees you and won’t forget quickly
December 12, 2025 at 10:53 AM
Or could that be Pfi, higher drug price deals made with trump, private equity owning gp practices, and contracting out services to private health companies, and not actually about paying the people that work for you properly?
December 12, 2025 at 9:00 AM
However, trump, corruption & racism are still 40+ %approved. Sorry but you’re too hopeful, get used to unpopularity & distrust. By the next term uncoupling will have just started. You won’t regain trust in my lifetime at least. Rightly, until maga is long gone

Yes, perfectly. They’re called Americans. People too stupid for democracy, but also shit at picking tyrants.

You honestly think there's a single living lawyer that couldn't stop that with an unfit to stand trial argument?

I thought it is time to post something else I made, as it's Saturday. this is a secret Santa present I made for a colleague. It cost less than the £10 limit, as I basically gave her a stick I found, but I was very proud of it.

Not deal, capitulation.
Guardian publishes Russian asset's drug-fuelled delusion might be the best headline for this piece.
It's invasion, not conflict
Soviet occupation decimated invaded countries
The Taliban would never share power with US
It's not a US war, just being asked to keep their promise

@unison.org.uk What use is a union that never responds to it's members?

It’s not all in capitals, did he not write it himself, or is his keyboard feeling down about it?
