I hired a car when I was in Puglia and found the driving very straightforward. Drove from Brindisi to Otranto, where we were staying. Went for lunch in Gallipoli and was amazed at how quiet the roads were and mainly dual carriage ways.

Great 2 weeks in Puglia, staying in Otranto. Visited Gallipoli and Lecce. Wonderful coffee, fish and wine, plus Pasticciotto.
