COVID-19 vaccines help our bodies develop immunity to the virus that causes COVID-19 without us having to get the illness.
Different types of vaccines work in different ways to offer protection. But with all types of vaccines, the body is left with a supply of “memory” T-lymphocytes as well as B-lymphocytes that will remember how to fight that virus in the future.

[NOTE: I highlighted the following sentence.] It typically takes a few weeks after vaccination for the body to produce T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes.

Sometimes after vaccination, the process of building immunity can cause symptoms, such as fever. These symptoms are normal signs the body is building immunity.

England is now experiencing a significant COVID wave, after 10 months of relative quiet.

"If someone says they are in bed with flu, it’s almost certainly COVID, given that the number of people admitted to hospital for COVID last week was 50 times higher than the number admitted for flu!"

The chart shows weekly hospital COVID admissions per 100,000 population in the UK from May 2023 to September 29, 2025, based on UKHSA data.

Autumn 2023 peak reached around 6 per 100k.

Winter JN.1 peak followed early 2024 (~5 per 100k).

Several 2024 peaks occurred mid-year before dropping.

A 10-month stretch of low, stable levels lasted through late 2024 to mid-2025.

A new Sept 2025 wave shows a sharp upward climb approaching prior peak levels.

A study of 74,738 COVID cases and 18,790 influenza cases found that COVID patients had a higher risk of severe long COVID within 6 months.

Within 30 days, 826 COVID patients vs 89 flu patients died; within 90 days, 1,391 COVID patients vs 149 flu patients died, showing worse outcomes for COVID-19.

Severe COVID may carry higher risk of long-term conditions requiring hospitalization through 6 months

Actually, 7 cases have 1 dose, 9 have 2. Measles vax does wane. Also, at best it's 97% effective. Which is awesome, except eventually, a small % of a very big number can still be significant.

Oh, and everyone's immune systems are damaged to varying degrees from COVID.

Any application of AI like this needs to use Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and return the source citations justifying the claims made, and make it as fast and easy as possible for both regular users and experts to identify failures - which those acting in good faith will necessarily want.
