One of the BHG had a leg ring but only a single metal one I can barely read.

Highlights from Weald CP today: 4 Meadow Pipit back for winter, Mistle Thrush, Redwing, Kestrel, Buzzard, Shoveler, Gadwall, Stock Dove, Siskin and Linnet.

Also had a couple of showy domestic Mallards take up residence in the last few weeks, maybe Silver Appleyard?

First Redwings arrived this week at Weald CP. Highlights from today's walk, including Bentley area and the Mores: Flyover Brambling, Firecrest, multiple groups of Siskin, Greenfinch, Grey Wagtail, Shoveler, Mistle Thrush and a Little Egret at the conservation lake.

Unfortunately, also had to see an angler hook an immature Swan. Looked like he was able to remove the hook but also seemed to end up just leaving some of the line in the water.

Quick stop at Fremnell's Causeway this morning on the way to RHS Hyde Hall. Lots of mud exposed by the low water, highlights: Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit and a Common Sandpiper.

Nothing out of the ordinary at Hyde Hall but plenty of birds about.

First time over Weald CP for a little bit, definitely quieter than a few weeks ago but still some highlights to see: 2 Raven, Lesser Whitethroat, imm. GC Grebe, Little Grebe, Heron, Nuthatch, Treecreeper and Grn & GS Woodpeckers.
