I do feel for Liverpool and their injury crisis and I know it's his style but does Gareth Taylor ever pay attention to his opponents? Playing perfectly into Villa's hands again and again. Players can't play out so being hurt by their press. High line, they have the pace to get in behind. Baffling.

I think if I was playing the 8 time UWCL champions I would definitely start a 37 year old part time plasterer up front. Yep. That's what I'd do.

Aaah man I love a Lucy Bronze diving header. So close!

One of the reasons I think we'll never see a #9 truly challenge Russo while she's fit and available is that whoever else plays there we still try and play like it's Russo. And it's very difficult to replicate what she does.

A farcical League Cup draw: the latest example of why a blind obsession for women’s sports’ growth at all costs is abandoning the very audience and soul that built it.

Between this and the low viewing figures for the Arsenal Chelsea game being reported.. not a great week for WSL Football!

Well
In case you missed it!
Ruesha Littlejohn received a red card after things got a bit heated. Judo tossing Hannah Cain to the ground. Already winning by 3 adding a bit of injury to the insult innit?

This is heartbreaking for Jutta. Re-signed with Leicester in the summer as she felt she had more to do after missing the majority of last season due to injury and setbacks on her other knee. This must be so tough to take. Wishing her a good recovery 🫶🏻

That was very intriguing from a tactical perspective. Ideally Barca want a team pressing them with a high line so they can play out and in behind. They're also quite used to a low block, where they suffocate with endless pressure & stifle any out balls. What they can't deal with is a mid block.

I know a lot of fans have been asking for it but dropping Millie Bright for this game feels like a big call? Honestly I'm surprised

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, and perhaps it's more minute management, but those subs feel like a mistake. Smith and Kelly have been Arsenal's brightest sparks.
