The FitnessGram Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly but gets faster each minute aft
I have always called you the Rankinoceros

It does seem like he’s not having a fun time out there and it’s affecting his play, he’s just been outworked so often this season (when not playing PSG or Frankfurt)

Should have been more specific. I’m wondering if your team is split in their assessment based on how concerned the Dodgers Top 10 writeup seemed to be. I did not read that blurb and expect him to be 18th. I guess I am overestimating the number of 60 OFPs that are handed out?
February 4, 2026 at 4:08 PM
I’ve seen Hope slide to the 40-60 range on other real-life lists, and the Dodgers writeup says some very unkind things about his z-con%, so 18th surprised me. I guess I’m asking about whether the disagreement is about how concerning the hit tool risk is or about how huge the upside is
February 4, 2026 at 4:00 PM
Two questions:
- Zyhir Hope is much higher here than his write up would indicate. Is the hit tool concern not something that everyone agrees on?
- Sal Stewart seems way, way underloved here. Has there been any reconsideration of this since December? I can’t gush enough about his batted ball data.

Baylor University could not exist without kids from the northeast seeing their football games on TV and doing way too little additional research

Depends on what you’re watching for. Most of the action is tackles, interceptions, clearances, and stuff that isn’t shots. The English premier league is a very physical and fast paced league, and relatively few teams are currently trying to only play defense, so a lot happens between shots/goals.

The squad’s technical ability has certainly gotten worse as a changing league has applied how essential it is to have good passers everywhere. I’m simply highlighting the second part.

Maybe I’m also underrating how skill Dembele/Winks/Dier were as passers when they were at their best.
January 25, 2026 at 2:55 PM
Only disagreeing here in terms of how much each ingredient matters. I do think it’s linked. The club’s job was also much simpler when the rest of the league didn’t or couldn’t press. Wanyama was a good signing and he was at least as technically limited as Palhinha is!
January 25, 2026 at 2:42 PM
Feels to me like a lot of Spurs fans’ nostalgia for Poch is actually just nostalgia for a time when at least a third of league was clearly technically, phsycially and tactically outclassed by the top half (and also some selectively misremembering how simple/stagnant the attack often was)

I get the feeling that a whole lot of people are going to become familiar with Robert F. Williams in the coming months
January 24, 2026 at 6:02 PM
What did I say earlier this offseason — you win your leagues by setting your lineups, you lose your drafts by valuing players as if you aren’t allowed to

Yordan is the sort of guy that you build that mindset around
January 23, 2026 at 9:37 PM
You won’t believe how high my model ranks him even after (1) assuming that you take a zero in about 20% of the games he misses, and (2) applying a lower level of replacement production for 15-team leagues

Still telling myself that I bought the Soto City Connect Jersey, not the Washington Nationals City Connect Jersey

Fien is almost certainly a 3B. Seaver King also looks like a fringe SS who may be better at 2B/3B/OF. Willits is probably a SS. On average, you don’t expect all three to pan out.

Even if they all do and Abrams gets extended, Abrams can move to 2B or even CF. Good defenders aren’t a problem.
January 23, 2026 at 1:00 AM
Hey, let’s start with the CJ Abrams trade that they’ll need to make first (yes it’s bleak)
January 22, 2026 at 9:22 PM
I like them as signal that they’re trying to change direction more than anything else. Still need the org as a whole to show any willingness to spend money

Like, why have they not traded for Yoshida’s contract in an attempt to get more prospects
January 22, 2026 at 9:18 PM
Traded Jose Ferrer for Harry Ford and trading Jake Bennett for Luis Perales
January 22, 2026 at 9:12 PM
I'm much more willing to give the new Nats FO some room to make this kind of trade when Gore regressed hard down the stretch and when they've made other moves this offseason that seem designed to start righting the ship

reserving the right to change my mind if they never spend money again

It feels like this year’s Rays system lacks the upside that previous ones have seemingly had in the pitching department — is that just me knocking them too much for guys like Baumeister and Gill Hill not having good years?
January 22, 2026 at 3:32 PM
Guys like him are *way* more fun when you have no expectations for them. That said: I don’t blame the Yankees at all for not making a path for him.

The more intriguing choice here IMO is that they’re doing the same for Dominguez. Feels like he has to be gone soon.
January 21, 2026 at 8:23 PM
We’re much more in alignment than I’d expected, then. I think Jacked Jose Siri or Non-DH Christopher Morel is a realistic hope here, and the error bars are so huge that it’s worth finding out at some point. I’m simply asking folks to adjust their hopes down from “new Aaron Judge”

Jones’s *in-zone* contact rate in AAA was worse than any qualified MLB hitter’s rate since Gallo in 2017. Dropping below 80% is tied to a steady and substantial decline in results, and he was at 72% in AAA. Factor in a likely hit when he faces better stuff, and Jones looks like a KBO prospect.
January 21, 2026 at 8:00 PM
He looks like he’s on course to be Gallo without the walks, so this is probably a good thing
January 21, 2026 at 7:25 PM
In a normal year, I’d say that the issue here is that the Big XII crew has never seen defensive linemen this explosive and is just losing their minds, but that doesn’t quite work
