66 people were arrested outside the Labour Conference yesterday for peacefully holding signs with “I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action” written on them.

Hundreds of police officers were used to try to enforce Labour’s absurd ban. They failed to arrest everyone.

VICTORY: citing "lack of evidence", prosecutors have dropped the trial against the Drax 15. They never had a case, but they kept defendants waiting for a year to somehow justify an astonishing £3 million police operation. This is yet another example of the repression of protest rights in Britain

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Activists have climbed England’s LARGEST gas power station to demand lower energy bills 🚨

And so the Vuelta final stage is cancelled.
Israeli premier tech refused to leave the race after massive pro-palestine protests every day.
A small victory against a genocidal country.
A sad loss for road cycling tho.

🚨 BREAKING: GANTRY CLIMBERS NOT GUILTY

A jury found Sam, Isobel and Rachel not guilty of public nuisance at Guilford Crown Court today, after they climbed gantries above the M25 in 2022.

The jury decided they had a reasonable excuse for taking action.

Fascinating seeing the Commons debates from 25 years ago about the proposed terrorist Act. And how we were assured it would never be applied to domestic activists...

Applause for protestors as they are arrested for holding a sign which says "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action"

Six hours after the protest started and there are still several hundred defying the unjust ban on Palestine Action.

It won't stop until the ban is lifted.

Many protestors are "going floppy" to not assist the police in enforcing an unjust law.

Despite claiming the police had the capacity to arrest everyone, they've only managed to detain a small fraction of the more than 1000 protestors.

The ban is unworkable. It must be lifted.

Police continue to mass arrest protestors for opposing genocide and the Palestine Action ban.

The day after the ban came into force, 29 were arrested. Last month, it was 500.

Today, over a thousand people are defying the unjust proscription of a domestic direct action group.

Be interesting to see if the police try and arrest a thousand today.. At huge public expense

Yvette Cooper’s ban on Palestine Action must go with her.

Our statement follows the news that Yvette Cooper has been removed as Home Secretary, where she has been responsible for overseeing an authoritarian attack on free speech and over 720 arrests for holding cardboard signs.

Here's how the real two-tier Britain works:
1. Whatever Nigel Farage says, however stupid, is looped and discussed by the media, while left-wing voices are treated as noises off.
2. Tiny far-right protests get massive airtime, while 10s of 000s gathering for Palestine or green causes are ignored.🧵

This is just getting ridiculous. Nothing that has happened (or is reported below the headline to have happened) this weekend remotely justifies talk of an explosion or mass protests. The media are confecting a crisis, and, in some sections of it, hoping to provoke one. 1/3

The only newsworthy aspect of the far-right anti-migrant protests currently is how pathetically small they are.

Last summer 60,000 people came to the Restore Nature Now protest in London, and the BBC didn’t even report on it.

Times: "Asylum protests swell across the UK " headline, reporting an underwhelming wave.

Leeds "draws 70"
Cardiff "disorganised + small"
Altrincham "*swelled* to around 200"
Cheshunt about 250
Chichester: about 100
Portsmouth: about 70 v 70 on each side
