OKC Thunder wins the NBA championship. Just might be the biggest thing to happen to Oklahoma in a long time.

As someone who spent 16 years in the media, 8 years as an elected leader for my Tribe, 10 years as a tribal administrator, and 5 years as a consultant, I can say that no one should accept a half a billion-dollar gift from a foreign country and expect it not to be a quid pro quo.

I can honestly say I didn't see this coming but honored and humbled just the same.

Another bad sign ensuring worse things to come; my wife (who works in domestic violence and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives) just told me the DOJ is terminating all DV grants and services. I really feel for all our people who rely upon the services these programs provide to Indian country.

Now ask the question who is hiring all of these illegals in the US? If you're all about law and order, shouldn't we be rounding up a few of them too?

Economic NIMBY Syndrome, "Yes, we need more American manufacturing, just don't ask me to do it".
More in No, Other People:

• 73% disagree
• 2% currently work in a factory

I'm proud to share this interview I did with the Tulsa World back in November of 2023. I thought it was behind a paywall on their website. I just found it on their YouTube page.

I was in NYC this week for business, sitting in a nice steakhouse Wednesday night, you would never know the stock market lost $6 Trillion in value the day before. Everyone seemed in a good mood. Guess the bond market overnight caused Trump to pause the tariffs, and the market rallied the next day.

We tried mass tariffs in 1828, and it crashed the economy. We tried again in 1930, and it crashed the economy.

Third time’s the charm, I guess.

I was glad to read today that DC law firm Jenner Block refused to comply with the recent Executive Order excluding them from getting any work from the Federal government. In fact, they sued the government over this EO. They worked on the Mueller Report, and they're being punished. Indian country

Just finished my op-ed for the Tulsa World describing the impacts these cuts in federal funding and the erasing of Native American history off federal websites is doing to our communities.
It was gut wrenching to write. I'll let you all know when or if they decide to publish it

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% in support of what AOC and Bernie Sanders are doing, my concern is branding these rallies with the word, Oligarchy. The plumber in Toledo or the pipefitter in East Texas probably won't bother to look up the word to know what these rallies are about.

Who benefits from removing any reference to the Indian code talkers from the U.S. Defense Department’s website?

At a time when it was official Federal policy to erase Native languages thru its failed assimilation policies, these brave solders used their language to create a code the Germans and Japanese couldn't break. This DEI program helped us win WWII.
You literally cannot tell this incredibly cool part of American history without centering Native American identity. It is an powerful demonstration of how diversity provided tangible military advantages over an enemy committed to White supremacy.
