I don't think self inserts are bad

I have Aria whos kind a version of me. Someone who is a perfectionist and has to be the best at what she does due to her traumas.

I also have Scarlett (evil campaign) who is a manifestation of wrath. Which she is very not a self insert. But fun to write

I love well written lore. I think its almost tragic that they have trauma. But we'll written trauma makes a character interesting.

Aria does not.
She was an only child. I would imagine if she did have siblings she would just be as competitive as she is and that sounds like a massive headache.
She has also heard how awful siblings are from her friend To'nahku and doesnt want to get murdered in her sleep.
