As expected, the Bank of Canada dropped their overnight rate to 2.50% this morning. Bank Prime is expected to drop from 4.95% to 4.70%.

As expected, the Bank of Canada announced this morning that they are holding the overnight rate at 2.75% which means bank prime holds steady at 4.95%. We seem to be approaching the end of the rate cuts, with most economists suggesting that there won't be much more, if any.
