I am continuing to work with Metrobus and Surrey County Council to ensure that future changes deliver improved bus services for everyone in Horley.
I spoke to BBC Radio Surrey to express my disappointment that re-routing of the Fastway 100 service was delivered at the expense of long-established communities without proper consultation or communication.
People in North East Horley, including many elderly and disabled, have been left without vital transport links after new timetables were introduced a few weeks ago.

NEW POST: @chriscoghlanmp.bsky.social says LAs’ “lawbreaking, gaslighting and lying” is wrecking thousands of children’s lives. The MP writes the second of our articles about testimony gathered and #MeasureWhatMatters, evidencing LAs' unlawful behaviour www.specialneedsjungle.com/c... #SENDSky
Looking forward to seeing you all in Mickleham next Monday at 6:30pm for an evening of questions and community discussion!
It’s outrageous that many clinically vulnerable people, including those who have motor neurone disease, are not eligible for free COVID-19 booster jabs this autumn. Last week, I spoke with BBC Radio Surrey and wrote to the Health Secretary about this.
I look forward to seeing you all there with The Inclusive Learning Partnership.
Deputy Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning, Clare Curran who is the Surrey County Councillor for Bookham & Fetcham West, has agreed to come along and listen to SEND parents share their stories.
Our next SEND parent/carer support coffee morning will be on Monday the 27th of October in Fetcham.
So I asked the Education Committee Chair what confidence parents can have that lives like this child’s will be saved unless and until local authorities are held accountable to the law and there is swift and decisive intervention if they abuse their powers. 3/3
I have received 120 testimonies by Surrey families, 650 nationwide of unlawful, harmful or unethical behaviour by local authorities on SEND. 2/3
A twelve year old autistic child in Dorking has attempted suicide twice, most recently in the last four weeks. Despite their life being at risk, they still don’t have an EHCP (their legal document from Surrey County Council for extra support). 1/3
Time and time again I have come across people who turn tragedy in their own lives into positive change for others. It was inspiring and hard to speak last night about my constituents Ellie, Jamie, their daughter Maddie and their son Billy’s devasting experience with cancer.
After a great event in Brockham last week, I'll be in Mickleham on Monday 27th October for an evening of conversation and questions.

This is an opportunity to discuss local issues, share your views and connect with neighbours.
It is a disgrace that even the last resort for getting important post wasn’t available to these residents. To make matters worse, Royal Mail have stopped replying to my office when I raise these concerns.

Chris slams Royal Mail profiting whilst cutting local service

This comes even though in our area, over 25% of mail arrives late - well below their 93% target.

In Buckland and Betchworth, the part-time post lady was moved to another round with no replacement. Constituents had no post at all during her leave.
I was on BBC Radio Surrey this morning discussing the disgraceful cuts to local services by Royal Mail in Dorking and Horley, despite the company making a profit. Royal Mail recently confirmed plans to cut back, delivering second class letters only every other weekday and axing Saturday deliveries.
Today I shared the stories of 474 families, across 98 local authorities with every major political party represented, who’s children had also been failed.

If we reduce their SEND rights and throw our children to local authorities we cannot trust, we throw away their lives.
Jenny, a mum from Dorking told me about her severely learning-disabled daughters, Isabelle and Sienna, who have been separated into different residential learning facilities by the Surrey SEND system.
President Trump’s reluctance to support seizing Russian assets is holding back our strongest lever for just peace.
I pressed the Ministry of Defence on why we aren’t using every tool to secure peace in Ukraine - including $300bn in frozen Russian assets. Supporting Ukraine means holding Russia to account, and that starts with leadership from every ally.
