People on her side of the aisle are just watching this happen, knowing they are collecting dividends from a company that's been doing multiple types of fraud, including mortgage fraud, while having lawsuits conveniently downplayed. This is the collapse. And it's bipartisan.

That "Dark Money" piece just put this shit on life support after Axios already revealed that Sixteen Thirty supported RFK's anti-vaxx messaging to ~compete~ with Trump. This was mentioned nowhere in the August ~bombshell~ piece. Nor was Semafor's support for Chorus's parent organization mentioned.

Again...Funds like Sixteen Thirty and its ~Sisters~ through Arabella, etc. are CENTRIST funds working to redefine The Left by pushing it further Right. And this is ultimately supported by journalists who thrive in that sort of environment and don't know who they'd be in a truly equitable landscape.

I argued to IPSO that Lorenz had conflicts of interest, including working relationships that could have led her and WIRED to benefit from ~covering~ Chorus in a way that leaves room open for their Defense Squad and ultimately benefits the backing funds. IPSO ruled they're technically allowed to.

Taylor's story could have been a decoy piece, given how much information WIRED had from me since last year... I just went through it with IPSO because of how weirdly timed it was, considering the same fund was caught supporting RFK's anti-vaxx messaging. The conflicts of interest need close exam.

Some of our people are getting ahead just because they can talk about dehumanizing atrocities in a very casual and approachable way. What they get paid NOT TO SAY and NOT TO ASK is very clear. Occupy Democrats gets 100s of 1000s from the DNC, and then pays Good Influence execs. That's right online.

People in this position know that the system is not about self-regulate or allow us to regulate it without an extreme deviation from the prescribed remedies (contacting your congresspeople and begging them to do the job they know they were put there to do already). I have a creative life outside of politics that I would happily lean fully into if oppression suddenly disappeared tomorrow. I recognize not everyone does. But there's a narcissistic tendency to perform political passion while benefiting from having a more packaged presentation than some sufferers.
