Hey, Bob Dylan truly deserves his posting W today. It'll look great next to his one for literature.

We need the minimalist equivalent of deluxe versions of overstuffed albums where the artists reveal which tunes they agree they should have edited out. (See also: Red Hot Chili Peppers, 'Blood Sugar Sex Majik')

I say this as a Haim fan:

The last thing this album needs is more songs.

Montreal was looking sluggish on their second game in two nights then just exploded in the back half of the opening period. Great stuff. #GoHabsGo

Helpful advice if you think Schneider swearing is a fucking outrage.

Here’s how to file a complaint with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council about profane language during a TV broadcast:

An ALCS win adds a second "Go," a World Series win an exclamation mark.

Canadian enthusiasm knows no bounds.
Two very bland “Go Jays” posts. (But both dudes are great people)

The only negative I really saw tonight was Dobson appearing to give up on the Matthews empty-netter that sealed it. Otherwise, they played well. Like you said, that hasn't happened against Toronto - even in wins - in a while. If they head home 2-and-1 I think everyone is feeling pretty good.

Well, Montreal and Toronto looked pretty evenly-matched this game, so take that for what it's worth.

Complete lack of hustle by The Highest Paid Canadien on that empty net goal. He should get chewed out by MSL over that. #GoHabsGo

Slaf is busting his ass out there and I hope it leads to him being rewarded. #GoHabsGo

One thing I'm liking about Bluesky is I'm getting the sense Habs fans and journalists have migrated here at a much larger rate than fans of other Canadian teams. #GoHabsGo

Lane Hutson is so tiny yet awesome. #GoHabsGo

Some good looks there. Montreal's true potential strength is the powerplay. Stopped the first unit? That's nice. Here's the second unit with a guy who scored 15 PPG last season. #GoHabsGo

Matheson reminds me of Brisebois in that he has talent but was often asked to do too much. Now that he's the 3rd or 4th shoulder they'll lean on I think fans are going to appreciate what he's capable of more. Brisebois didn't get that chance until leaving and coming back. #GoHabsGo

I'm already getting sick of "Nick Suzuki wants to go to the Olympics" permeating so much of this broadcast. I'm sure he does, but his primary goal is to win games for Montreal and *that's* what made him a top centre in the league last year. He puts the team first and he will again. #GoHabsGo

The expressions on the faces of the fans at Scotiabank Arena are not exactly positive or excited.

Montreal shut out Toronto 1-0 in the opener last year. Doubt that happens this time.
