I’m not as high on them myself BUT I wonder how high Weaver is on them. It’s been rumored that they’re looking for prospects at guard and a big. They get those two and a couple 1st from Detroit and I wonder if Dumars pulls the trigger. They’ll talk themselves into Ivey, Herb, Zion, Duren and #7

If Paolo and Franz are who they think they are then yeah they’re a sure fire contender. They also still have other picks and players they can trade around the edges but their core 4 is set

You guys didn’t really talk about trades but the discussion about what’s needed for the playoffs and fit paired with the prospects ya’ll talked about at 7 has led me to Sabonis being the guy that would impact the most. Good rebounder, someone you have to defend, stretch big, fits with Herb and Z

Yep I’ve been trying to bring this up to people on the other app. Unless the Pels become buyers and somehow hold onto the Milwuakee picks I think Milwuakee is fine without it. I think they really want their ‘27 pick back which if the Hawks make a push for Giannis could be interesting.

For me, 1st rd running backs need to have game breaking potential and be able to be used as a chess piece in pass game. The other top backs that are just dudes at the position I’d take on day 2 (Chubb, Bijan, Hampton) the exception is Henry. After that I’m throwing day 3 darts

I think RB’s, LB’s and TE’s should all be lumped into that group. The difference to me is that I’d only take RB’s in the 1st rd or on day 3 in most situations I’d take those other positions on day 2 no problem.

They may have the opportunity to move into the top 2 this year depending how bad Milwuakee wants their next two picks back. Even if they don’t get 2 this year they’ll probably get to control ATL’s draft the next 2 years plus either dump Dejounte’s contract or pick up the deep in the future Mil 1st

It’s equivalent to hustling. It’s the bare minimum for players because it doesn’t take skill to do it. But if everyone doesn’t do it and you do you now have a competitive advantage. Because you can win less games against playoff teams because you don’t take nights off against bottom tier teams

I mean before this yr it would be that his team got up to play every night. Which is a competitive advantage when you think about how every game matters in the west. But after losing that goodwill this year, outside of capable defense (how much of that is Herb, Dys, Jose, Naji) nothing else

With each piece it looks worse and worse for WG. He’s not a good enough a tactician to overcome all this other stuff. Find a coach whose vision of success starts with maximizing Trey and creating a system that the team can run regardless of who’s on the court

Was thinking some team should pair Zion with Lauri but the cheaper option would be pairing him with Santi whether that’s the Pels or his next team. Think the end of the year showed for rebounding purposes he’s gotta be a “3” and one of the bigs next to him needs to space the floor

Phenomenal piece from Shamit. Willie has been dealt an awful hand 3 of the 4 yrs he’s been in Nola and won 49 gms the year his hand was ok. But he by no means has made the most of what he’s been given so if he’s lost the locker room (Trey, Herb, Dejounte, Yves) then you gotta move on.

Well they originally got the Bulls pick (top 10 protected this yr and top 8 protected the following 2 yrs) but traded that away for Lavine. If I were their GM I would have given Nola the charlotte 1st, Huerter, and Collins for CJ and if I wanted to continue to buy used the Spurs 1st to do so

Another question given how many jobs are on the line and growth being the most important piece aside from a top 3 pick. Would it make sense for Nola to sell this year’s pick for future picks so they can worry about trying to develop guys in a winning environment the rest of the year?

You guys touched on buying at the deadline which I’d been thinking about. How valuable would a Pels pick top 4 protected be this year and is there someone in the 6-10 range that would make you hesitant to go get someone (Coby White is said to be available)
