My entry for this years chromacorps challenge by sinix. Didn't make the cut but it was super fun to do and maybe I'll change the aspect ratio and make it into a print

I love drawing masks on characters. It's so nice to play around with different patterns and shapes to get the feeling or vibe you want to portrait.

Oy, it's been a while, but now I'm back from doing conventions :D

Didn't post much since I'm deep in convention preperation.

Are we nearing the era where movie titles get closer to anime names and we'll end up with a paragraph as a title? 😅

I'm sure there is some tree and head pun somewhere to be found for this drawing

Yearning perfection - This drawing was a ton of fun and came very naturally. One of the pieces where there wasn't much change from the sketch to the finished artwork.

I had no idea cottages could be any other place than floating rocks.

There is always something satisfiying about drawing flying rocks. Geometrical patterns on these help aswell
fantasy and scifi drawing which shows a character before a rock with water flowing out of theire hands. The rock has runes and they are hovering above the ground. The drawing is looking like an ink artwork and is in black and white with a textured drawing paper as background

Especially like the second to the left. The contrast works really well

When you keep looking IRL for hovering orbs with weird patterns in the forest and can't seem to find them, you just gotta draw them yourself.

Really enjoy how the sense of flowiness (flowingness, flowyness, fliflaness?) came together in this drawing.

While drawing traditionally is nice, it's such a benefit to easily erase or go over black areas in digital drawing.

Damn, these are really fitting. Thanks for taking the time to write that up. It's really cool how even abstract shapes and patterns can evoke certain feelings and connotations

Almost missed the kickstarter. The illustrations look lovely and so vibrant!
