When I visit schools for @ctvnewsmontreal.bsky.social it’s so fun to get students interested in the camera gear! Magnus & Julian here have skills and smart questions. Technology is probably more intuitive to those Kindergarteners than to me sometimes!🎥

After a career of thwarting evil-doers, Police Dog “Monty” has retired. His handler Constable Patrick Desjardins of the SPVM adopted the rascal who now gets extra belly-rubs and playtime in his retirement! (But tell the bad guys that other K-9 units are still on the job!)🚔

Protected bike lanes & beautiful views! Cycling around Vancouver is good for the body and soul! (The lovely perimeter path around Stanley Park includes glimpses of eagles; an owl & seals frolicking in the ocean. Plus the dog-friendly beach areas are so much fun to watch.)🙂🚵

The Soulanges Canal has a lovely 35km bike path alongside of it. Plus, new signs show how you can also paddle the canal…with a wee portage or 2 between sections.🙂 a side-quest I can’t resist! 🚴🏼‍♀️🛶

This is my lovely neighbour & my dog. Joan & Tom don’t have a critter of their own, yet they walk and cuddle the luckiest dog in the world and we are so grateful. It’s a wonder Aurora even comes home after a nice visit like this…🥹

Beautiful art by female Inuit creators from Nunavik on display at The Dorval Cultural Centre. Materials include seal skin; caribou antler and glass beads combined to make amazingly intricate items that are a marvel to see. Check it out, free to visit and you will be impressed! Promise!

A gorgeous Parka handcrafted with embroidery and glass beaded fringes…a pocket on the back is to keep baby warm. Beautiful and functional work by an Inuit artist from Nunavik.

A message for all time and especially days with dark headlines. KINDNESS is the theme for this mural created by students at Horizon High School. They are special needs learners & obviously have special talents too! CTV Montreal has their inspiring story - told by the artists themselves.🎨

A 7-metre long, super-colourful mural with the word KINDNESS as the centrepiece. It was painted by students aged 17 - 21 who are learning new skills and life lessons catered to kids who aren’t neurotypical, yet full of intelligence & talent!

This may be the luckiest dog in Dorval. My darling neighbours don’t have a dog anymore and when they need some canine-comfort, they borrow Aurora. Currently, she’s at their house cuddling on their couch watching TV…🥹🐕💕 #luckydog

Deep snow in the “sous bois” on the Edge side of Tremblant. Skis are quiet as we cruise slow-motion between the trees. Winter goes by quickly when you’re playing in the snow! And there’s MORE snow coming soon!❄️❄️❄️

Rather than watching, I’ll be reading. 5 years ago this McGill Grad won the Super Bowl with Kansas City. Weeks later the world shut down under the weight of a global pandemic. Dr. Duvernay-Tardif chose to work in Quebec’s health care system rather than return to the NFL. Interesting read!
