We start off October with a bang: GHOSTWATCH (1992)

A horror legend with a major cult following, the film that tricked (traumatized) a nation into believing in ghosts. What begins as a normal Halloween special morphs into something far more horrifying

I mean, the entire Best Picture lineup that year. I know Auntie Mame and even The Defiant Ones are popular with many, but to me, only Cat on a Hot Tin Roof has really stood the test of time.

And while I get that Vertigo was not beloved in its day, it's one of those really bad misses in hindsight.

I really would be interested in the REAL reason Guess Who's Coming to Dinner REALLY REALLY won 10 Oscars.

Sorry, releasing this quiz a day late. I guess I was too busy contemplating the fact that the Academy watched Vertigo, and then nominated it for Sound and Art Direction and nothing else. In a year in which Gigi swept big.

In fairness, your accent is so hard to place...

I really hope your handwriting is legible... I usually need to type up my handwritten notes quickly (at least when I wrote them a bit in a hurry), or I can't decipher a thing anymore...

You would do me a huge favor if you only made posts like this for films that were released before my birth, and not films that I watched in the cinema in my mid-20s.

Seeing this just made me feel so old...

I can't tell you how often I have re-watched this skit today. Perfect (and very specific) writing meets top-notch delivery.

I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at the word "whatever".

Genius.

There is a film from 1960 that has received seven Oscar nominations. It's filled with star cameos, includin Jack Lemmon, who reprises his performance from Some Like It Hot in it.

And you have probably never heard of it. It's in the top left corner of this quiz.

I was today years old when I learned that there is a cover version of Get the Party Started that is sung by Shirley Bassey.

Also, most people manage to have a total disconnect that the vague believes they adhere to will have real-world consequences that impact other human beings they would probably be sympathetic to if they met them.

In my experience, most people (pretty much everyone except psychopaths and the worst of the hateful, and deeply broken people) will be polite and friendly to any individual person they encounter. They only lose their decency when they don't have a person, a face right in front of them.

Listen as Gordon and Eliza learn just how awful a person Peter Sellers was in THE LIFE AND DEATH OF PETER SELLERS! You also see Geoffrey Rush do an impression of Peter Sellers as John Lithgow as Blake Edwards in one of many weird, meta moments.

Listen as Gordon and Eliza brave the storm of SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO!

Some how everything you expect, yet so much worse, and on top of it all, Gordon starts reciting "Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin)"

The year 1963 is notorious for having one of the weakest Best Picture lineups in Oscar history.

So let's have a look at the films that failed to make the cut in this quiz.
