As the week comes to an end, many of us carry tiredness, from work, from worry, from the long work of seeking justice in a complicated world.

“The essence of all morality is a passionate belief in the intrinsic value of human beings.” – R.H. Tawney
A reminder of the roots of Christian Socialism & why our movement exists. For over 65 years, Christians on the Left has put this belief into action, in policy & in community.

We're delighted to celebrate that one of our very own, Sara Hyde has been inducted to the House of Lords as Baroness Hyde of Bemerton. Sara led our Leadership Programme for many years and we've no doubt that she will make a big difference in her role. Congratulations Sara!

As we move through the early days of a new year, it’s tempting to rush toward plans, goals, and outcomes. This verse reminds us to pause and ask a deeper question: what are we building and why?

As we step into a new year, we are reminded that God is always at work, renewing, restoring, & calling us to imagine what a more just & compassionate world could look like.
The “new thing” God brings is not just personal renewal, but hope for our communities & our politics

In the birth of Christ, hope entered the world quietly among the poor, the overlooked, and the weary. That same hope still calls to us today.
As we look to the future, we carry a faith that does not turn away from the world’s brokenness, but steps into it with love.

As one year comes to a close and another begins, we remember that God’s care does not end at the turning of the calendar.
In our coming and our going, in moments of action and of rest, God remains with us.

This year at #LabourConference25 we were pleased to partner with CAFOD, Oxfam, LabourCID & Islamic Relief UK on the role of faith in international development.
It was a positive and hopeful panel and together we made the case for keeping international development at the heart of foreign policy.

Horrendous to emerge from the peace of church this morning to news of the Bondi Beach attack. Praying for all those involved & for all our Jewish brothers and sisters marking Chanukah, light in a dark world.

In 2025, we spoke out for families and children, because faith demands justice.
We are particularly thankful for the recent budget result, building on our prayers and calls to the Government.
