i wish you could open a PR on @tangled.org without having to create an atproto account 😬😬

that karpathy tweet is the perfect example: tech bros think too highly of themselves, so if they are impressed by something, that thing has to be the most extraordinary thing loved

so many popular software people are just doom posting about how the profession is over bc of claude code, it’s embarrassing

there's an unresolved tension between running coding agents on your machine, where the agent keeps ask you permission to do menial stuff, and running a coding agent on an isolated environment, where it sucks to control the agent or do fine adjustments on the output

@exe.dev is pretty good, and similar to what I've been pushing internally at my company as an internal dev platform for building and publishing prototypes: you get an allowance each month to spend on infra that you can easily spawn and expose, with a coding agent built in

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

hey @leaflet.pub, I did a huge whoopsie on one of my atproto accounts, and I think I softlocked myself out of chromafish.leaflet.pub.

Is there a way to recover that domain? :/

I don’t care if you are a vibecoder, but since you are already not doing anything, at least ask cursor to write a bash script that tests your app with a short timeout, and only stop prompting once the script runs under that timeout

there was a time where you would say “notion sucks, it adds 500ms of latency on every keystroke” and everyone would nod in agreement. nowadays you get vibecoders yelling at you saying “who cares?”, “focusing on that wouldn’t increase their revenue”, yadayadayada

is the discover feed down?

I love zed.dev, but the way it handles files being edited outside of the editor while you have them opening is annoying. Some agent makes a change and it doesn’t reflect immediately on the file, files created does not appear in the file tree, etc

Spec-driven development is silly, but there’s something about focusing on establishing contracts and constraints, and let the agent implement something that satisfies them.

I am getting tired of blog posts claiming that the future of software engineering will revolve around the idea of “disposable” code, that we will maintain some abstraction one level above the implementation, and we just steward agents that will actually implement the contracts.
