Uncertain how to explain chronic pain in warp speed (typical 15min Dr appt). In 24yrs been unable to adequately convey to family the complex breadth & magnitude of pain tht controls every minutia of my existence. Understanding isn't possible or necessary, only listening, empathy, belief & compassion

Screen reader users going through a PowerPoint presentation might quickly scan through a list of slide titles and go right to the slide they want. Avoid repeating slide titles. Instead, use unique slide titles so users can clearly understand which slide they are on currently.

At this point, I am the medical equivalent of hearing a loud engine noise while driving in your car, but you turn the music up so you can't hear it bc you don't have the ability to fix it anyway.😮‍💨

I'm so encouraged by the increased inclusion of the patient voice in all stages of medical clinical trials & research. Collaboration w pts provides invaluable guidance, feedback & benefits w improved outcomes & more meaningful data. Utilization of the pt perspective will galvanize exciting research🙌

Sometimes you have to look, and sometimes it finds you when you're unable to look. The empathy and compassion from others remind me we're not alone with our debilitating pain, even if it often feels that way. Many are listening and working to restore the right to adequate analgesia for all in need.
