The United States has not made such a direct intervention in Latin America since the invasion of Panama in 1989 to depose Manuel Noriega.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with distracting from the newly released #epsteinfiles
December 31, 2025 at 2:51 AM
Very interesting to me how suddenly fraud started by a white woman and now blamed on the entirety of the Somali community is all over the news right after the Epstein Files were released. There's no new information from MN, but it must be worse than the 34 counts Trump was convicted of... Right?

Ehh, AHJ won at least 60% of the vote each time, Xiong and Ward won handedly in each of their elections. It's not indicative of the east metro as a whole, but 47A is solid blue and that's not changing any time soon.

That, and the one GOP guy who's okay losing over and over lives on the B side. 🤷

Hey, remember when the Minnesota GOP stormed the rostrum and illegally seized control of the House? No radical mob there, surely.

Stillwater, Minnesota showed up in full force today! Don't know the totals, but I heard 1,000 or more. ✊

Honest question: have ANY Minnesota GOP elected officials publicly commented about how their fearless leader was not at the Basilica on Saturday, nor has he said anything in his official capacity about the tragedies that took place here? Anybody implore him to even pretend to do the right thing?

What a deplorable human masquerading as a 'president.' Trump will never miss an opportunity to lower the bar for basic human decency.

Are the results put in the general register?

For those of you not watching the MN House floor session right now, the GOP is perpetuating a loop where they try to take the same bill off the table, knowing it doesn't have the votes. They hold the roll open long after everyone votes (15+ minutes), and repeat. Clearly they want to get work done.

The level of cruelty from the modern GOP is almost unfathomable. The blatant racism, lack of basic human empathy... I will never understand how someone can see those actions and say, "Yup, that's how I want my interests to be represented."

Sweet Jesus, we really are one bad idea away from The Running Man, aren't we?

Today, the MN GOP straight-up decided rules don't matter when you have any amount of power, regardless of what promises you made, or what agreements you signed.
I am so angry at the intentional rule breaking exhibited by my Republican colleagues. In a place where we are expected to compromise, where "we are only as good as our word," today's behavior was shameful.

Agree 100%. I'm way more efficient in WFH than I ever was in the office.

I was completely caught off-guard by the announcement today. I agree with your assessment that there's no "why." There's also no "how." Tens of thousands of employees being relocated in two months? Seems very unrealistic.

It's okay, because they partnered with a new eyeglasses company to entice their customers to come back! That's why everyone was mad at them, right? Not the whole DEI thing? ... Right?
Target is clearly having a moment.

What changed in the time since Rubio said this? Hypocrisy is very chic now, it seems.
This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

ARE WE GREAT AGAIN YET?!
The US experiences more severe weather than any nation on Earth. NOAA has been up to the task (death tolls have been falling due to timely warnings and collaboration with local meteorologists).

Firing 800-1000 experts from NOAA is a huge step backwards. This isn't efficiency. It's insanity.

Same. We closed our Target card that we'd had for almost 20 years. Not giving them any money until they stop this nonsense.
