Interesting quandary about the Filibuster, because if they nuke it and D's win the majority in '24, then a whole lotta change is on the menu that's gonna wear out the President's veto autopen :-).

I'm not fond of performative impeachment filings--bc they diminish the groundwork you'll eventually need if you do want to impeach.

If Democrats need some messaging for the shutdown just say, this, "Republicans won't even call Congress into session and there is no way to stop the shutdown with that, so yeah, they are 100% responsible for it."

So Trump is going to the meeting of the generals. My GUESS is he'll order them to swear a loyalty oath, and those that refuse will be dishonorably discharged for "not following orders." This avoids paying retirement benefits which they would get if they resigned their commissions.
